Madison McKeown, 20 of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, captured the Title of Miss South Dakota USA 2016 on October 4, 2015. Madison was also Miss South Dakota Teen USA in 2014. She attends Kansas State University and is currently a Junior majoring in Fashion Merchandising. Madison is predicted to graduate early and then fulfill her Masters Degree through Lindenwood University.

Along with being a full time student she is also a business owner and model. Madison has been featured in several nationally recognized magazines including Seventeen Prom magazine and Teen Vogue. Currently Madison is representative for BOLD Body Bronzing in the state of South Dakota. She is a huge advocate for safe tanning since her grandmother melanoma survivor.

Madison loves adventure and travel. She has been to multiple countries in Africa along with Aruba, Mexico and the Bahamas. This past summer Madison worked with a non-profit organization, Mission Greenhouse, where she traveled to Kenya to help build a dormitory for an all-girls school. Before going to Kenya Madison participated in multiple fundraisers for the school, gathering donations for school supplies, medical supplies and over 200 hundred pounds of clothing. While there she was able to participate in the girls’ classes and visit their homes. It was a humbling and life changing experience and one she wishes to make annually.

Madison enjoys Pilates, hot yoga, cliff jumping, modeling, and pageant coaching younger girls. She is an advocate for volunteering not only in her community but globally. She has taken fourteen years of dance instruction. Madison loves animals and would like to become a foster parent for dogs in the near future. She has a fifteen pound dog and a twenty pound cat and is a nanny for two dogs while at college.

After graduating with her masters, Madison would like to continue to grow and expand her business while pursuing her modeling career.
